5. Connect a test voltmeter between regulator
No. 3 terminal and ground.
6. Adjust center position of potentiometer to
obtain a voltage setting of 14.4 volts at regulator.
Voltage will require readjustment every five min­
utes until voltage becomes stable. Normally 15 to
20 minutes will be required for this process.
NOTE: This voltage is based on the assump­
tion that regulator is being set on a test bench at
normal room temperature. If regulator is being set

on the vehicle, voltage should be set 0.1 volt lower
than the middle range given in "Specifications" to
compensate for the higher ambient temperature.
