assembly; then install outer bearing cup with thin
edge of cup toward outer end of hub until it clears
the snap ring groove, using a suitable sleeve. In­
stall the snap ring in groove in hub.
2. Using a punch, drive axle shaft spacer to
force outer bearing cup back against the snap ring.
IMPORTANT: This procedure must be follow­
ed to assure a wheel bearing adjustment that will
not work loose.
3. Place inner bearing cup in hub with wide
side of cup toward inside of hub. P ress cup into
hub until it seats against shoulder in hub, using a
suitable sleeve.
4. P ress new oil seal into hub flush or until it
