    Over view FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW The UP-700 model ECR provides support for loading image data that may be used as an graphics logo for the header or footer of a receipt. The data must meet the specifications defined within this document which will outline the attributes necessary for loading the image data.

    Introduction INTRODUCTION This document will help you utilize the graphics logo function of the UP-700 model ECR. This documentation assumes that you are familiar with general PC and the Microsoft® Windows operating system as it relates to the settings for the desk top, communications ports, etc. Please read this introductory section carefully as it will provide helpful hints and recommendations that will make your time more efficient and produce time saving results.

    Introduction CABLE SPECIFICATIONS The SIO function is used to download the logo image to the UP-700 from the PC. Yjr SIO function is dedicated to COMM-2 with connection via an RJ45 modular jack. The below diagram represents the cable specifications required when connecting the UP-700 to a PC when the Logo Image Data function is used.

    Introduction RESET PROCEDURES 1. Program (SRV) Reset: To perform a Program Reset, the SRV key (p/n: LKGiM7113RCZZ) must be used. Please refer to (fig. 2) when performing the below key sequence. (1) Insert the SRV key and rotate it counterclockwise to the 6 o'clock position to the SRV' position. (Please note that the display goes out) (2) Count for 5 seconds.

    Converting Image Data CONVERTING IMAGES FOR USAGE WITH THE ER02FD.EXE The UP-700 Logo utility also supports the conversion of image data that meets the necessary specification previously outlined to be used with the ER02FD.exe PC utility as an alternative means of loading a graphics logo.
