3 Function Digestion Unit K-424 Function The digestion unit K-424 is suitable for digestions involving concentrated boiling sulfuric acid at a temperature of approximately 370° C. 3.1 Principle of operation Sample tubes Heating Suction module Hose to water jet pump or to Scrubber B-414. -

Digestion Unit K-424 Maintenance General information The housing of the digestion unit K-424 ist made of metal and is coated with an acid-resistant material. In order to avoid damage to this synthetic coating, any drops of acid which might fall on it should be wiped off with a damp cloth. -

Digestion Unit K-424 6 Maintenance Replacing the insulation To avoid contact with live parts, components may only be replaced when the apparatus has been isolated from all supply points. Electrical and electronic components are to be replaced by skilled engineers. -

Storage/Transport The unit has to be stored and transported cleaned and its original packaging. -
