    This chapter explains the basic principle of the instrument, shows how it is structured and gives a functional description of the assemblies. 4 .1 Functional principle of the Digest System The Digest System K-437 is suitable for digestion processes with concentrated boiling sulphuric acid. The digestion parameters are listed in the BUCHI application notes.

    ATTENTION If your are working with a Scrubber, place it on the left side of the K-437. The Scrubber ventilation is located on the left side. In case the Digest System is placed on the left side, cool air will hit the dige- stion sample and cool it down, so that no digestion can take place.
