Section 3 - Configuration
Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internet gaming, video conferencing, Internet telephony and others. These
applications have difficulties working through NAT (Network Address Translation). Applications Rules allow some of these applications
work with the DIR-456.

APPLICATION RULES

Enable:
Select this box to enable the rule.
Name:
Enter a name for the rule.
Applications:
Select from a list of popular applications.
Trigger:
The name of the trigger.
Trigger:
The port that will be used on your internal
network.
Firewall:
The port that will be accessed from the
Internet.
Protocol:
Select TCP or UDP.
Schedule:
Specify whether the rule should always be
active, or active according a predefined
schedule.
Click Save Settings to save your changes,
or click Don't Save Settings to discard your
changes.
