Section 3 - Configuration
Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internet gaming, video conferencing, and Internet telephony. These
applications may have difficulty working through NAT (Network Address Translation). Application Rules allow some of these
applications to work with the DIR-514 by opening ports after detecting traffic being sent through a trigger port. After modifying
any settings, click Save Settings to save your changes.

Select from a list of popular applications. You can select a service,

select a rule ID, then click Copy to to copy the default settings for
that service to the specified rule ID.
Copy to:
Specifies which rule to copy the selected popular application settings
to when you click Copy to.
ID:
This identifies the rule.
Trigger:
Enter the port to listen to in order to trigger the rule.
Incoming Ports:
Specify the incoming port(s) to open when traffic comes over the
trigger port.
Enable:
Check the box to enable the specified rule.
