5) If there is mains power noise (50 or 60 Hz noise) on the ECG signal
waveform, check the surface electrodes and add electrode gel if
necessary or reposition the esophageal electrode, being careful to
not insert it too deeply as it could enter and injure the stomach .
Check all connections for security.
