    ABOUT THE PHONE 3.1 Front view of the Motorola FX-805P 3.2 LCD Display The LCD shows icons on the top of the LCD screen. Different icons appear based on the phone’s operating mode. Indicates the signal strength in the service area.

    4 BASIC OPERATIONS 4.1 Switching the phone ON and OFF To turn on your phone: Make sure the switch in the back of the phone is moved to the ON side Press and hold “End key” for a few seconds or until the display turns on. After the phone is registered in network, the signal will be displayed at the top left corner of the screen.

    4.9 Signal Strength The quality of calls depends on the signal strength in your area. The stronger the signal is, the better the quality of the call. The signal strength icon indicates the current strength as a number of bars. You can see bars according to the strength of received signal in the upper-left part of the LCD.

    5 USING PHONE MENUS 5.1 Navigate menus A menu is a list of choices you can make. Your phone menu has 7 sub-menus. Each sub-menu contains options that allow you to use the Phone Book, change the ring tone, etc. You can use menus and sub-menus in two ways: by scrolling or by using shortcuts.

    6 ENTERING LETTERS AND NUMBERS You can enter letters, as well as numbers, when storing information in your phone by using your phone’s keypad. To enter letters, press the key associated with the letter you wish to enter until it appears on the screen (numbers will also appear).

    7 USING THE PHONEBOOK 7.1 About the phone book The maximum length for the name record in the phone is 16 characters and the length for name record in UIM card depends on the UIM card. When you Copy/Move records to UIM card, some names may be cut off due to shorter length of name record that can be stored in UIM card.
