Adjustment procedures

1. Loosen setscrews of the face plate to remove the face plate.
Turn the handwheel so that the counterweight ❶ faces toward

Place the balancer ❷ in the position shown in the figure.

At this time, make a clearance so that the balancer ❷ do not
interfere with machine frame, top feed changing base ❸ and
connecting link ❹ .
Evenly and securely tighten two setscrews ❺ of balancer.

Turn the handwheel to bring the thread take-up lever ❻ to the

upper dead point of its stroke.
Place the balancer ❷ in the position shown in the figure.

At this time, make a clearance so that the balancer ❷ do not
interfere with machine frame, top feed changing base ❸ and
connecting link ❹ .
Evenly and securely tighten two setscrews ❺ of balancer.

Results of Improper adjustment
Vibration becomes big.
