3. Installing the extra mounting screws.
If you would like to have the maximum stability, you should fix the bracket with two extra
screws. You will need to drill two 6mm diameter holes on the tube.
Mark the positions of the two extra holes on the tube (as shown in Figure 3), then remove
the bracket to drill holes on the tube. Install the bracket back onto the tube. Use two round
head screws for the two extra holes.
Tips for leaving primary mirror on tube: Drilling the holes will produce residue. To avoid the
residue from damaging the primary mirror, we recommend you to put the tube
up-side-down with the primary mirror on the top or put the tube horizontally while drilling,
and clean the residue right after drilling.
4. If you have removed the primary mirror, install it back onto the tube carefully. You might
need to do a collimation adjustment before using the telescope again.
