The covert PTT AC is a waterproof, handheld key-ring-style
device. It is used to discretely and remotely activate the PTT
(push to talk) feature of any 2-way radio.
The covert PTT AC must always be used in combination with
a Phonak AC-branded receiver device (such as Cobra AC,
profilo WL/LM AC, primero AC or Serenity DPC AC).
This model of covert PTT – or any other that is specifically
"AC" branded – is not backwards compatible. It is therefore
only usable in combination with other products that are
marked "AC".

Operating distance

The covert PTT AC's operating range is a full 2 meters, giving
the user a reliable communication link even if his/her arm is
outstretched.

Die covert PTT AC ist ein in der Hand zu haltendes, wasser-
dichtes Gerät in der Grösse eines Schlüsselanhängers. Es
wird eingesetzt, um die verwendete Hör- Sprech-Garnitur
(HSG) völlig verdeckt zu steuern bzw. zu aktivieren. Die
covert PTT AC (Sender) muss immer in Kombination mit ei-
nem Phonak Empfängerteil (Cobra AC, profilo WL/LM AC,
primero AC oder Serenity DPC AC) betrieben werden. Diese
covert PTT welche mit «AC» markiert ist, ist nicht rückwärts
kompatibel und nur verwendbar mit Produkten welche auch
mit der Bezeichnung «AC» markiert sind.
Reichweite
Die covert PTT AC hat eine Sender – Empfänger Reichweite
von vollen 2 Metern und garantiert somit auch bei voll aus-
gestrecktem Arm eine extrem zuverlässige Arbeitsweise.

Die Bedienelemente werden durch Aufschieben des oberen
Geräteteils sichtbar. Die Tasten werden für folgende Funk-
tionen verwendet.

Key #1
To program your system, turn on your
radio. Once turned on, the program
mode remains 'on' for 3 minutes. To
identify the covert PTT AC with the
receiver, place these two devices close
together and simultaneously push keys
#2 and #3. You will hear 3 signal tones
in the In-Ear-Receiver. This means the
two devices are now paired and no
other covert PTT AC will work with
this system.
To transmit speech, push and hold down
key #1. In case of loss/damage/ failure
of the covert PTT AC, simply continue
to use the receiver's integrated PTT
function.
Briefly push key #2 or key #3 to ge-
nerate a tone on the receiving radio
device. Each press generates a tone of
the same loudness and length.
Hold down key #2 or #3 for 3 seconds
to mute the system. To reverse this
mute function and return to normal
volume, briefly press either key again
or press key #2 or #3 for 3 seconds.
(With this push the button's normal
function will also be activated).
Simultaneously push keys #2 and #3
and hold for 3 seconds. If the resulting
LED shows a constant light the bat-
tery's charge is OK. A blinking light
means the battery's strength is weak.
To change the battery, follow the in-
structions on the next page.
If no transmission is possible:
– check that the receiver unit is
AC-compatible
– check that the system is not muted
– check that the main covert PTT AC
unit and its receiver are paired with
each other (in Identification mode).
– check the covert PTT AC's battery
status.

Um Ihr System zu programmieren,
schalten Sie Ihr Funkgerät ein. Der
Programmiermodus ist jetzt für genau
3 Minuten aktiv. Damit die covert PTT
AC vom Empfängerteil erkannt wird,
müssen Sie die beiden Geräte dicht
nebeneinander halten und die Tasten 2
und 3 gleichzeitig kurz drücken. Wenn
dieser Vorgang erfolgreich durchge-
führt wurde, erhalten Sie drei Signal-
töne über den Im-Ohr-Empfänger
als Bestätigung. Die HSG funktioniert
nun ausschliesslich mit dieser covert
PTT AC.
Drücken Sie die Taste 1 solange, wie
eine Übertragung (Sprechen) erfolgen
soll. Im Falle eines Verlustes einer Be-
schädigung eines Defektes der covert
PTT AC, ermöglicht die integrierte PTT
eine Fortführung der laufenden Opera-
tion.
Drücken Sie kurz Taste 2 oder 3 um
beim Funkempfänger einen Ton/Piep
zu generieren. Jeder Tastendruck ge-
neriert einen Ton in identischer Laut-
stärke und Sendelänge.
