Machine version synchronous machines

This series of machines involves permanent-magnet three-phase synchronous machines
with cylindrical shaft extension and keyway.
Corresponding to the winding design, these machines can be operated with a constant
speed when connected to the line supply – or operated as verbal-speed drives when fed
from converters.
In the case of machines with feet (IM B3 type of construction), the feet are cast or bolted on.
For frame sizes 112 ... 160 it is possible to change the feet bolted on the housing of the
machine, e.g. to change the position of the terminal box; however, only have this performed
by an authorized retrofit partner.
With the appropriate post working, ensure that the feet mounting surfaces are again on one
plane and parallel to the machine shaft. When required, place shims below the mounting
feet. Professionally touch up damaged painted surfaces.
The 2-pole machines have degree of protection IP54, and the 4 and 6 pole machines degree
of protection IP55. Refer to the rating plate data for the degree of protection.
