    September 2016 Quick Start Guide NOTICE This guide provides basic guidelines for the Rosemount 148. It does not provide instructions for detailed configuration, diagnostics, maintenance, service, troubleshooting, or installations. Refer to the Rosemount Reference Manual for more instruction. The manual and this guide are also available electronically on EmersonProcess.com/Rosemount.

    The software defaults to the first available COM port. 2.0 Configure The Rosemount 148 must be configured for certain basic variables to operate. In many cases, all of these variables are pre-configured at the factory. Configuration may be required if the transmitter is not configured or if the configuration variables need revision.
