2.4 Intended use

● The WS 170 is used as a ventilation unit
with heat recovery system that provides
controlled ventilation of apartments, offices
or comparable rooms.
● The ventilation unit is only intended for
domestic use and similar purposes.
● The ventilation unit is only intended for
permanent installation in buildings. It may
only be fitted on walls with sufficient load-
bearing capacity.
● The WS 170 may only be used in line with
the calculations/designs carried out by the
engineering office.

2.5 Foreseeable cases of misuse

Maico is not liable for damages caused by
use contrary to the intended purpose. Under
no circumstances should the unit be
used:
● during the building phase.
● in high levels of dust.
● close to flammable materials, liquids or
gases.
● to convey chemicals, aggressive gases
or vapours.
● In potentially explosive atmospheres.
● in swimming pools.
● to dry out new buildings.
● in combination with laboratory extractors.
● in combination with extractor hoods, that
are connected directly to the controlled
domestic ventilation exhaust air channel.
For energy-usage reasons, we
recommend using extractor hoods in
circulating air mode.

3. Safety instructions

complete.
