Installation of this unit
Base Module
DC cable for +24 V/+12 V
Writer Unit
≥ Please use DC cable with bend radius r = 50 mm (2.0 z) or more.
≥ Attach the ring terminals to the output terminals of the external power supply so that each ring terminal is not connected to one of the
output terminals of opposite polarity. To avoid the risk of power supply damage, do not bring the terminals into contact with each other.
≥ Connect the DC cable, referring to the pertinent external power supply manual.
≥ When attaching the ring terminals of the DC cable to the output terminals of the external power supply, make sure not to
connect each ring terminal pair to the output terminal pair of opposite polarity. In addition, do not mix up the +24 V and
+12 V connections.
≥ There is a danger of electrical shock once the unit is energized. Be sure to connect the AC cable last.
≥ Do not use an external power supply in such a way that its electrical load exceeds the rated value or use it with a voltage
other than DC +24 V/+12 V.
≥ Never use cables other than the dedicated DC cable.
≥ Do not perform any actions that can damage the DC cable (scratching, processing, bringing it near heating equipment,
bending it forcibly, twisting, tugging, placing heavy objects, bundling, prying connector areas, etc.).
≥ Do not use the DC cable if it is damaged.
≥ Remove dust, etc. on the ring terminals of the DC cable on a regular basis.
Note
≥ To avoid the risk of a sudden voltage drop or a sudden power failure of the commercial power supply, it is recommended
that the entire system that uses the unit be covered by a UPS (Uninterruptive Power Supply).
