Preventing unintentional operations (HOLD)

You can disable all the buttons (HOLD) in order
to prevent unintentional operations when you
carry the linear PCM recorder, etc.
To disable the button operations
Slide the HOLD switch to "ON" to disable the
buttons while the power is on.
If you operate a button while the power is
on, "HOLD" and the current time appear for
approximately 3 seconds.
You can still operate the following controls
while the HOLD function is active:
• REC LEVEL dial
• POWER switch
• INPUT switch
• MIC/LINE INPUT LEVEL switch
• Phantom power switches
• XLR/TRS INPUT LEVEL switches
• MIC ATT switch

To release the HOLD function
If you operate buttons on the linear PCM
recorder when the HOLD function is set,
"HOLD... Slide HOLD Switch to Activate."
appears on the display window.
To release the HOLD function, slide the HOLD
switch to "OFF."
