CONFORMITY The S-FX appliances comply with the following: • Ecodesign directive 2009/125/CE • NOx Class 6 (< 56 mg/kWh) • "Condensing" classification For the serial number and year of manufacturer, refer to the technical data plate. Company Management The appliance must be installed by qualified personnel in conformity with current Technical Standards and national and/or local legislation.

DESCRIPTION The heating units in the range S-FX are condensing heat generators, designed to heat rooms, and in combination with a storage tank, for the production of hot water. They comprise: - A stainless steel heat exchanger, with high water content and generously sized exchange surface to optimise energy efficiency and heating output.

FLUE CONNECTION The S-FX boiler range is a B23 type with combustion air drawn from the installation room and the exhaust fumes by the means of a fan. • S-FX appliances are equipped with an exhaust flue gas sensor, which in the event of irregular temperatures will close down the operation of the boiler.
Please refer to the relevant British Standards: • BS5440-2 – Flueing and ventilation for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 70kW (S-FX 70 Only). • BS6644 – Installation of gas fired hot water boilers of rated inputs between 70kW – 1.8MW.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS The electrical terminal block is located in the rear of the control panel. The S-FX boiler is prewired and provided with a Y-cable and plug for connection to the electrical supply. The connection to the mains power supply must be made with a permanent connection and equipped with a bipolar switch whose contacts have a minimum opening of at least 3mm, interposing fuses of max 3A between the boiler and the mains supply panel.

MAINTENANCE Annual maintenance is a compulsory requirment and isessential to ensure optimal safety, perfromance and lifetime of the appliance. Internal cleaning of the appliance and removal of combustion residue from the exchanger surfaces are required at least once a year. The following is required: Heat exchanger inspection and cleaning with suitable products if dirty and blocked.
