Troubleshooting

The following table will help you to identify and rectify minor
malfunctions:

not light up.
Poor image quality.
The scanned images
are blurred.
Scanner is not recog-
nised by the computer
after software instal-
lation.
The scanner cannot
be operated via the
software.

Possible cause
The device is not
does
correctly connected.
Dust on the scanner's
background lighting.
Dust on the film/slide.
The lens of the scanner
has fogged up due to
temperature differences.
The scanner is not con-
nected to the USB port
on the computer.
The USB port on the
computer is defective.
The computer needs to
be rebooted.
An anti-virus program is
blocking the functional-
ity of the scanner or the
software.
Remedy
Connect the device.
Clean the back-
ground lighting (see
section "Cleaning").
Clean the film/slide.
Wait until the device
has acclimatised to
room temperature.
Connect the device
to a USB port on
your computer.
Connect the device
to a different USB
port on your com-
puter.
Restart your com-
puter.
Check the settings
on your anti-virus
program.
