Parts and their functions
DARK DTL: Dark detail
This function boosts the detail in the dark parts.
Adjustment range: 0 to 7
CORNER: Corner detail
 W hen the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera
is used
This function boosts the detail around the edges
of the screen.
Adjustment range: 0 to 31
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This does not operate and "- - -" is displayed
because the function is not available.

This is used to select the source signals for
creating the detail components.
Selection range:
 When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500
camera is used
2G+B+R, R, B, B+R, G, G+R, G+B, G+B+R
 When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
(R+G)/2, (G+B)/2, (2G+R+B)/4, (3G+R)/4,
R, G
+ CLIP: Detail edge clip (overshoot)
This is used to limit the length of the overshoot
parts of the detail edge components.
Adjustment range: 0 to 63
– CLIP: Detail edge clip (undershoot)
This is used to limit the length of the undershoot
parts of the detail edge components.
Adjustment range: 0 to 63
DTL +KNEE: Detail knee (overshoot)
 W hen the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera
is used
This is used to suppress the overshoot parts of
the detail components by applying knee.
Adjustment range: 0 to 15
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This does not operate and "- - -" is displayed
because the function is not available.
DTL –KNEE: Detail knee (undershoot)
 W hen the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera
is used
This is used to suppress the undershoot parts of
the detail components by applying knee.
Adjustment range: 0 to 15
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This does not operate and "- - -" is displayed
because the function is not available.
KDTL: Knee detail
This is used to boost detail components of the
parts where the knee has been applied.
Adjustment range: 0 to 39
KDTL CRSP: Knee detail crisp
This does not operate and "- - -" is displayed
because the function is not available.
KDTL FREQ: Knee detail boost frequency
This does not operate and "- - -" is displayed
because the function is not available.

HD skin tone detail
This is used to apply coring to the detail enhancement
of the skin tone areas in the HDTV video output
signals to soften the skin tone detail enhancement.
When the HD skin tone detail ON switch is lighted,
the effects will be reflected in the images and the
numerical values can be changed.
MEM SELECT: Switching between memory A
This is used to select the memory in which to
save the skin tone detail settings.
Selection range: A, B
CURSOR SW: OFF/ON switching of cursor
This is used to select ON or OFF for the position
cursor using which the saturation and color
phase information targeted by the effects of the
skin tone detail is to be obtained.
Selection range: OFF, ON
SKIN GET (EXECUTE): Execution of Skin Get
This is used to obtain the saturation and color
phase information automatically from the cursor
position.
SKIN GET (CANCEL): Canceling of Skin Get
This is used to cancel the saturation and color
phase obtained from the cursor position.
CUR POS H: Position of cursor in horizontal
Adjustment range: 1 to 1920
CUR POS V: Position of cursor in vertical
Adjustment range: 1 to 540
