CONNECTING AND REMOVING BATTERY IMPORTANT! The battery pack is not charged when it is purchased. Before using the string trimmer for the first time, place the battery pack in the battery charger and charge. Make sure to read all safety precautions, and follow the instructions in the battery charger section.

INCREASING THE CUTTING LINE 1. Before starting ensure the cutting line is the correct length. Pull the cutting line to the edge of the guard 2. During operation, to increase the length of the cutting line, stop and re-start the trimmer line. Each time the trimmer is started and stopped the line will feed out approx 10mm.
