The FT420 flow computer comes with factory-set parameters for K-factor, pulse output, 4-20 mA output, precision
(number of decimals) of display, and time units. These operational parameters can be changed by the operator
(except when Passcode Protection is invoked); the procedures for these main menu functions are described in
detail in the FT420 Instruction Manual and are not repeated here.
In addition to the customer-controlled operations described above, there are a series of administration menus that
can be accessed by the Seametrics dealer in order to change basic functionality of the FT420:
Procedures for Accessing Administration Menus and Adjusting Values
To move from one (main menu) operation mode to another, use the SET key.
NOTE: The internal processor scans the front panel every one second - this may cause a "lag" in
button response.
To access the administration menu behind each (main menu) operation mode, press and hold all three
buttons (SET, LEFT ARROW, UP ARROW in order) for approximately five seconds.
To select among alternative (either/or) selections for a particular function, use the UP ARROW key.
When changing a multi-digit numeric value, select the digit to be changed by using the LEFT ARROW key.
To adjust a numeric value up or down, use UP ARROW key (see each function for specific details about
that adjustment).
IMPORTANT: No settings changes will be retained until you have completed the entire sequence,
ending on the screen first displayed when powering up.
