Possible Cause
ENGINE (CONTINUED)
Fuel filter partly plugged
Speed control actuator stuck
Engine speed control lever stuck
Faulty pressure tranducers
Located too close to obstruction
Engine radiator plugged
Fault with engine cooling system
Ambient temperature too high
Faulty temperature switch
Low oil level
Engine shutdown switch activated
Faulty oil pressure switch
Engine oil filter plugged
Contaminated fuel
Engine air filter contaminated
Fuel filter(s) contaminated
Low fuel level
Overload

SECTION 6: TROUBLESHOOTING
Corrective Action
Replace fuel filter. Refer the Engine
Operator's Manual.
Auxiliary fuel pump may be needed for
remote fuel tank.
Lubricate; replace speed control actuator if
necessary.
Free lever and lubricate if necessary. Refer
to Engine Operator's Manual.
Check and replace, if necessary.
Move further from obstruction.
Clear debris/dirt from engine radiator.
Consult Engine Operator's Manual.
Consult Section 6.3.3, High Temperature
Operation.
Replace.
Check engine oil level; replenish as
necessary. Consult the Engine Operator's
Manual for additional information on engine
maintenance.
Confirm that access door is properly in
place. Replace faulty engine shutdown
switch.
Replace.
Replace engine oil filter. Refer to the Engine
Operator's Manual.
Drain and replace fuel supply.
Check air filter. Replace if necessary (refer
to the Engine Operator's Manual).
Check fuel filters. Refer to the Engine
Operator's Manual for additional information
on engine maintenance.
Add fuel.
Reduce load; check load use, and reduce
