Maximum cable lengths with low-frequency mixers
Agilent Technologies offers 85320A/B Option H20
mixers that operate from 0.1 to 3 GHz. These mix-
ers are popular when operation below 2 GHz is
required. The 85320A-H20 test mixer and the
85320B-H20 reference mixer operate from 0.1 to
3 GHz in fundamental mode.
A standard 85309A LO/IF distribution unit
operates over the frequency range of 1 to
26.5 GHz with standard 85320A/B mixers. It
also operates over the frequency range of 0.3
to 3 GHz with 85320A/B Option H20 mixers,
and over the range of 2 to 50 GHz with
85320A/B Option H50 mixers. Measurement
capability over the frequency range of 0.1 to
0.3 GHz requires an 85309A configured with
Special Option H20.

Table 10 shows the allowed 85381A/C Cable
lengths from the LO source to the 85309A, and
from the 85309A to the 85320A/B-H20 test and
reference mixer modules. Table 11 shows the cable
lengths with special low-loss cables.
