Note: Statistics data will be retained after an OS disk replacement if Management Vault was enabled
on the Manager. See the section, "Management vaults" in the Manager Administration Guide.
Replacing a data disk
About this task
Upon data disk failure on an appliance, obtain a replacement disk by contacting IBM Customer Support.
Procedure
1. For all Slicestor appliances, consult the Manager Web Interface for disk location and insert a new disk.
2. For configuring the replacement disk, see "Monitoring the System" in the IBM Manager Administration
Guide.
