7. Wrap insulation tape around each solder joint (see picture below).
8. Heatshrink the assembly joints for added protection and to finish.
9. Load up the "PICkeyfob Programmer" software on your PC.
10. Save the supplied PIC HEX file to a suitable location on your PC.
11. Select the correct "PIC Family" and "Device" for the PIC you want to programme.
12. Make sure the "Program User ID" box is ticked.
13. Make sure the "Match Device ID" and "Verify Configuration Bytes" are un ticked.
14. Select the correct file location of the software you want to upload to the PIC, by pressing the "Browse"
button, locating the correct HEX file and selecting "Open". The picture below shows the setup for the
PC software using the 340T Tuner software as an example.
