PROBLEM
*With bucket dumped,
boom is slow in starting
*Bucket does not move
in self-level
Bucket curls in self-level
External leakage

Excessive wear on bucket

OPERATION
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Dampening office in unloading
spool is plugged.
Set screw is screwed in all
the way.
Dampening orifice in unloading
spool is plugged.
Ports A and B are plumbed
backwards.
Ports C and D are plumbed
backwards.
Damaged seals.
Inlet line restricted or leaking.
Oil level too low.
Pump worn or damaged.
Only a few tines were under
load.
Bucket is riding on cutting edge
instead of wear runners.
Tee-bolt tension no set
correctly.
Rear axle on tractor not level
from side to side.

REMEDY
Remove unloading spool and clean
dampening orifice.
Readjust set screw to achieve
proper flow split.
Remove unloading spool and clean
dampening orifice.
Reverse hoses on ports A and B of
self-level valve.
Reverse hoses on ports C and D of
self-level valve.
Remove leaking component;
replace seals.
Check for air leaks, restrictions or
collapsed hose. Tighten or replace
hose. Clean filter.
Add oil as required.
Repair or replace pump.
Be sure three or more tines are
under load.
Use boom "FLOAT" position or
bucket level indicator to ensure
bucket rides on wear runners.
Adjust tee-bolt tension until 40-50
lbs. force is needed to close handle.
With tractor on level surface,
compare rear axle height from left
to right, measuring from axle center
to ground. Adjust air pressure in rear
tires until axle height measures the
same for both sides.
