7. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What type of battery is in a PS220?
PS220 contains a battery pack consisting of 18.650 Lithium-Ion battery cells.
How do I know if my PS220 is charged?
To check the charge level of the PS220, refer to the LCD Battery Display. When lit up, you'll see a percentage
number which shows the left over capacity of your device. It is OK to use your PS220 even when it's not fully
charged.
Can I charge the PS220 while supplying power at same time?
Yes and no. The DC outputs support simultaneous charging and discharging. Please note, however, that this
only makes sense with a remaining battery capacity of more than 10%. The AC output will not work while the
device is charging.
Can I take my PS220 on a plane?
No, you can't. The airline regulate that power banks over 100 Wh can't be taken on a plane because power
banks capacities over 100 Wh may lead to accidents during flying.
How can I estimate the runtimes for my charging devices?
PS220's LCD display is an advanced feature designed to help you better understand power and monitor your
consumption. The input side reflects the amount of power PS220 is receiving while it's charging. The ouput side
indicates the amount of power the devices you have plugged in are pulling out of the PS220.
Calculate like this:
215 Wh / power of the device = running time (hrs)
How do I know if my device will work with the PS220?
Firstly, you'll need to determine the amount of power your device requires. This may require some research on
your end, a good online search or examining the user guide for your device should suffice. To be compatible
with the PS220, you should use devices that require less than 100 W.
Secondly, you will need to check the capacity for the individual output ports. For example, the AC port is moni-
tored by an inverter that allows for 100 W of continuous power. This means if your device is pulling more than
100 W for an extended period of time, the PS220's inverter will shut off.
