The Marlec Solar iBoost+ does not stay off when the timers are set because it is designed to operate year-round and automatically divert excess solar energy to water heating. Even when the timers are set, the unit may still activate if there is available surplus power. Additionally, the built-in Boost feature allows short top-ups from the grid, and the system can be manually overridden using the iBoost+ Buddy if installed. To fully disable it, the 'Timed Boosts OFF' option must be selected, or the unit must be powered down.
