Maintenance
Cleaning
The sensors in the machine may have reduced efficiency if they are obscured by dirt.
Switch off and un-plug the machine prior to any cleaning.
Using a dry cloth, clean the:
Track (1), Ultra Violet (2), Short-edge Detectors (3), Hopper (4) and Stacker (5) sensors.
Plus the detector below:
Infrared/ Long edge detectors. Magnetic. Paper Properties and SMDS.
The rubber feed wheels, feed roller, dolly roller assembly and separation assembly
rubber pads may be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. You may use a small amount of
liquid soap on the cloth. Ensure all soap residue is removed from the rollers. Allow to dry
thoroughly before connecting the machine to the mains electrical supply.
You may also clean the Mechanical Double Detect rollers in the same way.
Contact your local Talaris distributor for further information on how to carry out required
operational cleaning.
