Chapter 1 – Device description Chapter 1 – Device description Intended Use The reverse osmosis unit is used to produce de-mineralized water and functions according to the reverse osmosis principle. This process presses water through a semi-permeable RO membrane (osmosis module) where the salt content of the cold water is reduced by some 95 %. -

Interval/time Check/cleaning Daily Measure the permeate conductivity with a conductivity sensor or with a MELAG steam sterilizer, via the integrated test program "conductivity measurement". Check the pressure in the pressure tank via the inbuilt manometer. 12 months Check hoses and screw connections for leaks, crushing or kinks. -

Chapter 4 - Maintenance Screw on the filter housing lightly with the filter key. Switch on the steam sterilizer and open the shut-off valve at the manometer. Check whether all the parts are secure and that the reverse osmosis unit is free from leaks. Replacing the activated carbon filter Replace the cartridge of the activated carbon filter once a year or when replacing the fine filter. -

Replace the fine filter, the activated carbon filter and mixed-bed resin cartridge, empty the pressure tank and rinse the reverse osmosis unit and pressure tank before recommissioning. after 2 months Disinfect the reverse osmosis unit.
