Connecting To a USB Port

QK-A032 outputs the data stream synchronously via WiFi and USB. Users can
observe the data from USB port on a PC, laptop or tablet.

6.1. USB Driver Installation

Windows 10 will automatically install the drivers from a Windows Update. As long as there is an active
Internet connection the first time the QK-A032 is plugged in.
If the Windows PC is not connected to the Internet or if the USB driver does not install automatically
on the first installation of the QK-A032; please use the following link to install the USB drivers
manually.

For Mac OS X the QK-A032 will be recognized and shown as a USB modem. The ID can be checked
with the following steps:
1.
After plugging QK-A032 into a USB port, launch Terminal.app.
2.
Type ls /dev/*usb*
3.
Mac system will return a list of USB devices. QK-A032 will display as -
"/dev/tty.usbmodemXYZ" where XYZ is a number. Nothing further needs to be done if it is listed.
4.
If it is not listed then a restart may be required
5.
No driver is required for Linux. When plugged into the computer, QK-A032 will show up as a
USB CDC device on /dev/ttyACM0.

6.2. Windows Port Number Configuration

The port number is the number that Windows assigns as an input device. These can be generated
randomly by your computer.
The port number for the QK-A032 can be found in Windows 'Control Panel->System->Device
Manager' under 'Ports (COM & LPT)'. Find the QK-A032 in the list for the USB variant. To change this
number, double click the QK-A032 and select the 'Port Settings' tab. Click the 'Advanced' button and
change the port number to the one required.
