Tip
When securing the camera cable in the strain
relief channel situated on the camera
mounting bracket, push the cable with a
movement towards the back of the camera.
This provides a small amount of slack that
prevents the camera rotating away from the
desired field of view as you secure the cable.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Routing the cable through the adjustment
loop at the back of the head strap not only
provides a neat method of keeping the cable
out of the way but also acts as a leash system
that secures the headband, camera and
mount to the A/V lead so preventing the loss
of any of these components should the
headband come off.

Attaching the Camera Mounting Bracket to the Head Strap
o Before attaching to the head, thread the rounded end of the head strap through the nylon
D-ring on the other end.
o Ensure the strap is threaded through the D-ring so that when it folds back on itself, the
hook and loop of the fastening surfaces meet.
o Secure the strap loosely using this method to keep it from pulling back through the ring.
o Orientate the strap as it would be on your head, positioning the wide, oval fastening pad on
either the left or the right side of the strap and the D-ring and strap loop are at the back
o Align the mounting bracket and camera so the camera is facing forward on the strap.
o Secure the mounting bracket and camera by firmly pressing the foot of the mounting
bracket onto the head strap's wide, oval fastening pad. It is recommended that you 'work'
or 'grind' the fastening surfaces together to increase the strength of the bond.
o Rotate the camera within the mount until the top of the camera (where the Predator logo is
imprinted into the rubber) is pointing up. This gives roughly the correct orientation for the
side mounted position before putting the headband on.
o Once the camera is pointing in the right direction, push the cable at the rear of the camera
down into the cable channel on the mount.
o Route the cable to the back of the head strap and run it through the loop created by the
strap folding back on itself at the D-ring.
o Put the head strap onto the head with the adjustment loop toward the back of the head and
the camera and mount positioned on the left or the right hand side of the head around the
temple area.
o Using the adjustment loop on the strap, tighten it until the strap is firmly in place but
comfortable to wear.
Final adjustment to camera angle can be made once the unit is switched on and the recording unit screen
can be viewed.
