Introduction
The TEK300 is a 300 watt combo amplifier designed specifically for stereo keyboards. It has 3 x power amplifiers, one for the mono
bottom end that is reproduced through the 15" speaker and one each for the stereo top end that is reproduced through the 4 x 5"
speakers, 2 for LEFT and 2 for RIGHT.
This combination of power amplifiers and speakers provides a powerful stereo set up that will still fit in a reasonable sized enclosure
allowing sufficient bottom end to cope with the low frequencies that keyboards can put out while still maintaining a stereo top end to
reproduce the large stereo sound that modern keyboard effect sections can provide.
It is ideal in a smaller set up running on backline alone and is perfect for an on stage keyboard monitor in a larger set up using the
stereo DI's provided to run to the PA desk. The stereo top end speakers have been angled back to allow the user to clearly hear the
higher frequencies.

The Mixer Section
The preamp has four stereo channels with jack inputs for LEFT and RIGHT signals. Channel 4 also has a microphone input.
A stereo effects loop is provided for the addition of external stereo effects units and an overall master EQ is available with the 5 band
graphic.
Stereo line outputs are provided for slaving off to further amplifiers and a unique VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) foot control
section is provided that allows all keyboards being used to be turned up and down in volume simultaneously, in stereo from one
single swell pedal with the volume of the 'Back' position of the pedal able to be set from the amplifier front panel. Please read this
section of the operating instructions as it really is a very useful facility.
Channel 1, 2 & 3
Inputs
All 4 channels on the preamp are STEREO channels with controls that adjust the LEVEL and EQUALISATION for both the left and the
right signals simultaneously whilst keeping the signals through the unit entirely separate all the way through to the power amplifiers.
Two jack socket inputs are provided for the stereo signal from your keyboard, these are marked LEFT/MONO and RIGHT.
If a single jack plug is inserted into the LEFT/MONO input then this signal is routed to both the LEFT and RIGHT sections of that
channel. When a second jack plug is inserted into the RIGHT socket then the signals are separated into their discreet LEFT and RIGHT
components.
The impedance and sensitivity of the inputs has been set to suit the output signal of modern keyboards. This is also suitable for drum
machines, voice modules, CD players etc.
Level Control
The channel LEVEL control sets the level of each individual channel, use these to set a balance between your various keyboards.
