8.2 Emax Command Set

1. Clear all characters
Clear all of the displayed characters on dumb terminal mode.
2. Move cursor to home
Move the cursor to the left most position on the upper line. Make cursor on, and clear all
of the displayed characters, and enter dumb terminal mode when the pole display is under
non-terminal mode.
3. Write to Line 1 <21> <23> <31> <Data> <0D>
Turn off cursor, and display characters of data left justified on top line. Data is ASCII
format. Enter non-terminal mode.
4. Write to Line 2 <21> <23> <32> <Data> <0D>
Turn off cursor, and display characters of data left justified on bottom line. Data is ASCII
format. Enter non-terminal mode.
5. Auto Scan Message (Continuous) <21> <23> <34> <Data1 > <0D>
Turn off cursor and steps repeatedly through a message (Data1) of up to 45 characters on
the first line. Enter non-terminal mode.
6. Set and Display 24 Hour Clock: <21> <23> <35> <h><h> <3A> <m><m> <0D>
Turn off cursor, set the clock to "hh:mm", and displays the time in the last 5 character
positions of bottom line. The hour must be in the range 00 through 23. The minute must
be in the range 00 through 59. . Enter non-terminal mode
Where:
{ hh:mm } Correspond to hours and minutes in ASCII format, separate for double point.
Display 24 Hour Clock <21> <23> <35> <0D>.
7. Auto Scan Message (Single Pass) <21> <23> <36> <Data1> <0D>
Turn off cursor and steps only one time through a message (Data1) of up to 45 characters
on the first line. Enter non-terminal mode.
8. Change the Aedex Command Prefix <21> <23> <38> <H1> <H2> <0D>
Change the power-up default codes (<21> <23>) to two new characters (<H1> <H2>).
Enter non-terminal mode.
9. Write Two Lines <21> <23> <39> <Data2> <0D>
Turn off cursor, and write 0 to 40 characters (Data2) up to 20 left justified on top line
followed by up to 20 more left justified on line. Enter non-terminal mode.
<Data>:
More than 20 characters will be displayed on dumb terminal mode.
<Data1>:
More than 45 characters will be displayed on dumb terminal mode.
<Data2>:
More than 40 characters will be displayed on dumb terminal mode.
