About this manual About this manual Observe this general information about the cNODE Embed Instruction Manual; its purpose and target audience. Purpose of manual The purpose of this instruction manual is to provide the descriptions and procedures required to install, operate and maintain the cNODE Embed.
Kongsberg cNODE Embed System description The cNODE Embed consists of a printed circuit board and a transducer that integrates into custom pressure housing. The cNODE Embed provides flexibility to integrate transponder electronics into a custom pressure housing. This reduces the size, weight and the need for subsea interface cabling.

Cable layout and interconnections About Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects. Such flow can be caused by contact, an electrical short, or dielectric breakdown. ESD can cause serious damage to printed circuit boards and electronic modules.
Embed Instruction Manual Precautions to prevent Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Sensitive printed circuit boards and electronic modules must always be transported and stored in protective antistatic packing bags. The circuit boards and modules must not be transported or stored close to strong electrostatic, electromagnetic or radioactive fields.

Embed Instruction Manual General acoustic considerations Acoustic range The depth rating should not be confused with acoustic range. The acoustic range is dependent on many factors, and some of the factors are outside control of the user. Vessel system The directivity and coverage area for the vessel system is different, depending on which system you are using.
