IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS VACUUM CLEANER
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or
carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger
on the switch or energizing appliance that has the switch on
invites accidents.
Do not touch nozzle when vacuum cleaner is on. Danger.
Do not put any obj e ct i n to openi n gs. Do not use wi t h any openi n gs bl o cked; keep
free of dust, l i n t, hai r and anythi n g that may reduce ai r fl o w.
• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not operate the vacuum cl e aner or charger i f i t has been damaged i n any way .
If vacuum cl e aner i s not worki n g as i t shoul d , has been dropped, damaged, l e ft
outdoors, or dropped i n to water, return i t to a servi c e center.
• To avoi d excessi v e heat and damage to the uni t or battery, the vacuum cl e aner
wi l l not operate whi l e chargi n g.
• Do not al l o w to be used as a toy. Cl o se attenti o n i s necessary when used by or
near chi l d ren.
• Use onl y as descri b ed i n thi s manual . Use onl y manufacturer' s recommended
attachments.
• Recharge onl y wi t h the charger speci f i e d by the manufacturer. A charger that i s
sui t abl e for one type of battery pack may create a ri s k of fi r e when used wi t h
another battery pack."
• Do not pul l or carry the charger by cord, use cord as a handl e , cl o se a door on
cord, or pul l cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appl i a nce over cord.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Thi s charger i s not i n tended for use by travel e rs.
• Do not use extensi o n cords or outl e ts wi t h i n adequate current-carryi n g capaci t y
for the charger.
• Do not unpl u g by pul l i n g on cord. To unpl u g, grasp the pl u g, not the cord.
• Do not handl e charger or vacuum cl e aner wi t h wet hands.
• Use appl i a nces onl y wi t h speci f i c al l y desi g nated battery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a ri s k of i n j u ry and fi r e.
• DO NOT MUTILATE OR INCINERATE BATTERIES. THEY BECOME DANGEROUS
AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.
• Li q ui d ej e cted from the battery may cause i r ri t ati o n or burns. If the l i q ui d gets on
the ski n , (1) seek medi c al attenti o n, (2) wash qui c kl y wi t h soap and water, and
(3) neutral i z e wi t h a mi l d aci d such as l e mon j u i c e or vi n egar. If the l i q ui d gets i n to
the eyes, fl u sh them i m medi a tel y wi t h cl e an water for a mi n i m um of 10 mi n utes.
• When battery pack i s not i n use, keep i t away from other metal obj e cts, l i k e paper
cl i p s, coi n s, keys, nai l s , screws or other smal l metal obj e cts, that can make a
connecti o n from one termi n al to another. Shorti n g the battery termi n al s together
may cause burns or a fi r e.
• Thi s product i s functi o ni n g at temperature range wi t hi n 4°C - 40°C.

parts. Thi s wi l l ensure that the safety of the product i s mai n tai n ed.
• Do not modi f y or attempt to repai r the appl i a nce or the battery pack except as i n di c ated i n
the i n structi o ns for use and care.
• The termi n al s on both the vacuum cl e aner and battery shoul d be kept free and cl e an of
obj e cts. Do not i n sert metal obj e cts i n si d e the termi n al s .

• Overchargi n g, short ci r cui t i n g, reverse chargi n g, muti l a ti n g or i n ci n erati n g the cel l s and the
batteri e s must be avoi d ed.
• If a cel l or a battery has l e aked or vented, i t shoul d be repl a ced i m medi a tel y usi n g
protecti v e gl o ves.
• If and when necessary, these cel l s or batteri e s must be repl a ced wi t h i d enti c al new ones
from the same manufacturer. If a cel l or a battery to be repl a ced i s connected wi t h other
cel l s or batteri e s i n seri e s, i t i s recommended that the other cel l s or batteri e s be repl a ced
wi t h new ones at the same ti m e.
