It is an option that must be purchased and installed separately. The network port is not fitted as standard on the machine. You can purchase an optional network card and install it separately.

    Selecting a Location Select a level, stable place with adequate space for air circulation. Allow extra space for opening doors and trays. The area should be well-ventilated and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat, cold, and humidity. Do not set the machine close to the edge of your desk or table.

    Installing the Toner Cartridge Open the front door. Remove the starter toner cartridge from its bag. Gently roll the cartridge 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner. Thoroughly rolling the cartridge will assure maximum copies per cartridge. : If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash clothing in cold water.

Tabs on the sides of the cartridge and corresponding grooves within the machine will guide the cartridge into the correct position until it locks into place completely. Close the front door.

    Loading Paper The paper tray can hold a maximum of 250 sheets of 20 lb plain paper. To load a stack of Letter-sized paper: Pull open the paper tray and remove it from the machine. Fan the edges of the paper stack to separate the pages. Then tap the stack on a flat surface to even it up.

For example, when you set up your machine, you enter your name (or your company’s name) and telephone number.
