- Page 3 NOTE: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE FACTORY ECU DURING THE INSTALLATION 4>SECURE 1. The Bazzaz control unit will be installed and secured on top of the air box. 2. Connect the Bazzaz fuel harness and begin to route the harness towards the air box along the right hand side of the bike.
- Page 4 1. Locate the factory front injector, which can be found between the radiator and cylinder valve cover. 2. Disconnect the factory injector connector and install the Bazzaz injector connectors inline (To ease in the installation you may loosen the radiator to create more space).
- Page 5 5>CONNECT (CONT.) 1. Locate the factory rear injector near the back of the airbox. 2. Disconnect the factory injector connector and install the Bazzaz injector connectors inline. FACTORY BAZZAZ 1. Locate the factory neutral sensor, which can be found on the back side of the motor on the right hand side near the exhaust.
- Page 6 2. Disconnect the factory rear wheel speed sensor connector and install the Bazzaz speed amplifier in line. 3. Connect the remaining lead to the Bazzaz BAZZAZ harness. 1. Locate the white tail light connector in FACTORY the tail section of the bike.
- Page 7 6>CONNECT (FOR USE WITH Z-FI TC ONLY!) 1. Connect the Bazzaz coil harness to the Bazzaz control unit, and begin to route the harness towards the left side of the bike and back towards the tail section of the bike.
- Page 8 2. Remove the factory shift rod and begin to install the Bazzaz shift switch using one of the supplied allen stud bolts and tighten. 3. Begin to install the Bazzaz shift rod. The shift rod may need to be cut to get your original shift pedal height.
- Page 9 You can switch from map 1 to map 2 by unplugging the map select jumper on the Bazzaz fuel harness. Map 1 will be pre-programmed; depending on your model, there may be a pre- programmed map in the map 2 slot.
- Page 10 After it is determined that everything is correct, reinstall the components removed in step 3. 12>USE MAPS The Bazzaz controller is capable of storing two maps. Switch maps by connecting or disconnecting the map select jumper supplied with the kit. Or use the optional handlebar-mounted switch to switch maps on the fly (sold separately).
