    Introduction AutoRAE is an easy-to-use automatic bump test and calibration system for RAE Systems’ gas detection and monitoring instruments. The AutoRAE can perform the following functions: • Charging monitors’ batteries. • Simple bump test. • Full calibration of a five-sensor (O S, CO, LEL, PID) monitor.

    Setting Up the AutoRAE System Setting Up the AutoRAE System 1. 1. Connect the power cord to the AutoRAE controller and plug it into an external power supply. 2. 2. Connect the AutoRAE cradles to the controller one at a time. Make sure all connections are firm.

    Upgrading the AutoRAE Controller Firmware The firmware for the AutoRAE controller may be upgraded. To upgrade the AutoRAE controller firmware, you will need: 1. Automatic firmware upgrade utility software (provided on the AutoRAE Resource CD). 2. Ethernet crossover cable (provided in the AutoRAE package) .
