29- Install a 9 volt coil SPDT relay at rear next to Output Jack Board with JB Weld, solder one
side of coil lead (S) firmly to chassis ground, solder a 1N4001 or similar diode (T) across
relay coil, anode to ground lead. Solder a wire at (+) coil lead to 8V TX (P).
30- Unsolder white wire from L411 at the Phone Jack Board and extend it to one of the
normally closed contacts (Q) of the relay, run another wire from the other normally
closed contact (R) of the relay back to the place at L411 at the Phone jack Board.
31- Unsolder red wire at the emitter of TR41 and connect it to the Asymod III (+) output.
32- Connect audio in coax to Asymod III Audio In.
Note: #29, this relay has been added to allow for the receiver to be active without the
microphone having to be connected to the front mic jack (as most Cobra radios require) when
using the rear Line-In and PTT connectors. The PA jack has been converted for PTT.
