3.2. Minimum Safety Distances

The minimum safety distances are shown in figure
5. It is absolutely necessary to install the heater
according to these values. Neglecting them causes
a risk of fire.

3.3. Safety Railing

If a safety railing is built around the heater, the
minimum distances given in fig. 5 or in the rail-
ing's instructions for installation must be observed.

3.4. Electrical connections

The heater may only be connected to the
electrical network in accordance with
the current regulations by an authorised,
professional electrician.

The heater is semi-stationarily connected to
•
the junction box (figure 8:2) on the sauna wall.
The junction box must be splash-proof, and its
maximum height from the floor must not exceed
500 mm.
The connecting cable (figure 8:1) must be of
•
rubber cable type H07RN-F or its equivalent.
NOTE! Due to thermal embrittlement, the use
of PVC-insulated wire as the connecting cable
of the heater is forbidden.
If the connecting and installation cables are higher
•
than 1000 mm from the floor in the sauna or inside
the sauna room walls, they must be able to endure
a minimum temperature of 170 °C when loaded
(for example, SSJ). Electrical equipment installed
higher than 1000 mm from the sauna floor must
be approved for use in a temperature of 125 °C
(marking T125).

3.4.1. Electric Heater Insulation Resistance

When performing the final inspection of the electri-
cal installations, a "leakage" may be detected when
measuring the heater's insulation resistance. The
reason for this is that the insulating material of the
heating elements has absorbed moisture from the
air (storage, transport). After operating the heater
for a few times, the moisture will be removed from
the heating elements.
Do not connect the power feed for the heater
through an RCD (residual current device)!
3.4.2. Installation of the Control Unit and Sensor
(SW45E, SW60W, SW90E)
The control unit includes detailed instructions for
fastening the unit on the wall. Install the sensor
(WX248) as shown in figure 6. If the heater is
installed further than 100 mm from wall, the sensor
must be installed on the ceiling.
Do not place the supply air vent so that the
air flow cools the temperature sensor. Figure

3.2 Sicherheitsabstände
Die Mindestwerte der Sicherheitsabstände zu ent-
zündbarem Material sind in Abb. 5 angeführt. Die
Werte sind unbedingt einzuhalten, eine Abweichung
verursacht Brandgefahr.

3.3. Schutzkonstruktion

Wird um den Ofen herum eine Schutzkonstruktion
angelegt, sind die in Abb. 5 oder in der Montagean-
leitung der Schutzkonstruktion angeführten Sicher-
heitsabstände einzuhalten.
3.4. Elektrische Anschlüsse
Der Saunaofen darf nur von einem qualifizierten
Elektriker gemäß den geltenden Bestimmungen
an das Stromnetz angeschlossen werden.

Der Saunaofen wird halbfest an der Anschlussdo-

se an der Saunawand befestigt (Abb. 7:2). Die
Anschlussdose muss spritzwasserfest sein und
darf höchstens 500 mm über dem Fußboden an-
gebracht werden.
Als Anschlusskabel (Abb. 8: 1) wird ein Gummi-
•
kabel des Typen H07RN-F oder ein entsprechen-
des Kabel verwendet. ACHTUNG! Die Nutzung ein
Kabel mit PVC-Isolation als Anschlusskabel des
Saunaofens ist verboten, da dieses der Hitze nicht
standhält.
Falls die Anschluss- oder Montagekabel höher als
•
in 1.000 mm Höhe über dem Boden in die Sauna
oder die Saunawände münden, müssen sie unter
Belastung mindestens einer Temperatur von 170 °C
standhalten (z.B. SSJ). Elektrogeräte, die höher als
1.000 mm über dem Saunaboden angebracht wer-
den, müssen für den Gebrauch bei 125 °C Umge-
bungstemperatur zugelassen sein (Vermerk T125).

3.4.1. Isolationswiderstand des Elektrosaunaofens

Bei der Endkontrolle der Elektroinstallationen kann
bei der Messung des Isolationswiderstandes ein
"Leck" auftreten, was darauf zurückzuführen ist,
dass Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft in das Isolationsma-
terial der Heizwiderstände eingetreten ist (bei der
Lagerung und dem Transport). Die Feuchtigkeit
entweicht aus den Heizstäben nach zwei Heizvor-
gängen.
Schalten Sie den Netzstrom des Elektrosau-
naofens nicht über den Fehlerstromschutz-
schalter ein!
3.4.2. Anschluß des Steuergerätes und der Fühler
(SW45E, SW60W, SW90E)
In Verbindung mit dem Steuergerät werden genauere
Anweisungen zu dessen Befestigung an der Wand
gegeben. Installieren Sie den Fühler (WX248) wie
in Abb. 6 dargestellt. Wenn der Ofen weiter als
100 mm von der Wand aufgestellt wird, muss der
Temperaturfühler an der Decke montiert werden.
Luftzufuhr nicht so anbringen, dass sie den
Temperaturfühler abkühlt. Abbildung 4.
