MARKETING OBJECTIVE
Due to optimum engine design based on combustion analysis and the adoption of a new exhaust-pulse
scavenging muffler, this engine cutter product is equipped with an innovative 75-mL engine offering top-level
output in its class and conforming to exhaust gas regulations in the U.S. and Europe (EPA PHASE2, CARB Tier3,
and 2004/26/EC). This product features a high performance engine, a variety of strong metal protectors, and high
maintainability that enables frequent tool-less prefilter cleaning. With these new models, we aim to strengthen
Hitachi's engine tool lineup and increase sales.

- Page 6 Dust-proof recoil starter The dust-proof recoil starter and the wear-resistant starter rope enable use of the engine cutter in dusty environments that include concrete dust. Compensator structure The compensator is designed to maintain a constant air-fuel mixture ratio (air-fuel ratio) so as to suppress changes in the air-fuel ratio due to a clogged air cleaner, and thus assure stable engine output.
