Securely fasten the attachment clip, which is

part of the upper anchorage strap, to the
upper anchor fitting 3.
Tension upper anchorage strap. Comply with
#
the manufacturer's installation instructions
when doing so.
Fold down cover 2 of upper anchorage
#
point 3.
Move head restraint 1 back down again
#
slightly if necessary. Make sure that you do
not interfere with the correct routing of
upper anchorage strap.
E-Class Cabriolet
The upper anchorages are attached to the rear
of the seat backrests.
Fold the seat backrest forward until the
#
upper anchorage fittings are accessible.
Securely fasten the attachment clip to the
#
upper anchor fitting 1.
Return the seat backrest to its original posi‐
#
tion.
Make sure that upper anchorage strap is not
#
twisted and that the seat backrest is locked.

Tension upper anchorage strap from the lug‐

gage compartment. Comply with the manu‐
facturer's installation instructions when
doing so.
G-Class
The upper anchorage points are attached to the
rear of the rear seat backrests.
