Engine Overspeed (Excessive RPM)

Outboard mounted too high on the transom.

Tilting the outboard out beyond a vertical position.
•
Cavitation of the impeller due to rough water or obstruction in the boat
hull.

Blockage of the water intake.
Performance Loss
