Crab and Shrimp Spread
1 cup Bay or salad shrimp
1 cup crab meat
1/2 cup chopped red pepper
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green onion, including tops
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. white pepper
pinch Cayenne pepper (optional)
salt to taste
Preheat Oven on BAKE to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients except
1/4 cup of the bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese.
Mix well. Place crab and shrimp mixture into a buttered 3 quart oven
proof oval or rectangular baking dish. Mix together the remaining bread
crumbs and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle evenly over the seafood mix-
ture. BAKE for 60 - 75 minutes until the mixture is bubbling along the
sides and the topping is golden brown.
Serve on crackers or thinly sliced bread as an appetizer.
YIELD: 12 servings
