  • Page 3 INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the PRE AMPLIFIER CP. This preamplifier is a precision device, designed in an effort to provide the listener with unmatched sound quality through superb design and construction. Although its operation is fairly simple, in order to operate your preamplifier properly and to realize all of the capabilities of the CP we recommend that you read this entire manual carefully.
  • Page 4: Initial Setup

    A: The AC receptacle accepts any standard three-prong IEC line cord. Power input can be adjusted for any country, but is set internally at the factory. Contact Coda or your local Coda dealer if the voltage must be changed. Fuse specifications are listed below the receptacle, and the fuse can be changed by unplugging the line cord, pulling out the fuse drawer and clipping in a new fuse.
  • Page 5 The diagram below illustrates the front panel controls of the CP. VOLUME/BALANCE dB LEVEL CONTINUUM CP A: The rotary controller adjusts the currently selected volume level. Press the knob to switch between the volume setting for left, right or both channels, indicated by the lights underneath the digit display.

    INSTALLATION & USE REMOTE OPERATION The CP can be operated by remote control. The MX-450 Learning Remote is included with the amplifier. For instructions on using the MX-450 itself see the on screen manual included in the remote.
  • Page 7 The two slide switches to either side of the DIP block add 20 dB of gain to each channel. By default they are disabled. If you have any questions about adjusting the CP you should contact Coda Technologies at the address and phone number on the rear of this manual.

    If a cleaner is necessary, any dilute commercial ammonia based product will be appropriate. NEVER use any abrasive rags, cleaners or chemical solvents on Coda products. When handling the unit, take care not to mar the aluminum. Aluminum is a medium hardness metal and can be scratched by the harder tool steels.

    Coda Technologies without charge for parts or labor, for a period of ten years from date of original purchase. Coda Technologies will provide for surface transportation to and from the factory for a period of one year from date of original purchase.
