Clarity CL2118 SP Page 13 MAINTENANCE and SERVICE GLASS DOOR REMOVAL For installation, cleaning, and burner removal the glass door must be removed. 1. Turn off the appliance and allow it to cool down completely. 2. Lift the face trim up and out, away from the appliance, and set it aside.(Fig.4)
Removal and replacement of the glass from the door must be done by a qualifi ed service technician. The glass door must be purchased from a Blaze King dealer. No substitute materials are allowed. Fig.7 BURNER REMOVAL 1.
Clarity CL2118 SP Page 15 MAINTENANCE and SERVICE SAFETY SCREEN REPLACEMENT The CLARITY CL2118 is supplied with a safety screen pre-installed inside the door trim. If the safety screen becomes damaged it must be replaced with part #645.1821 1. Turn off the appliance and allow it to cool down completely.

Clarity CL2118 SP Page 19 INSTALLATION PLANNING FRAMING - CORNER INSTALLTION The dimensions for installing the CL2118 appliance in a corner is shown in Fig.12. Do not interfere with the structural integrity of the walls. Shown below are minimum clearances; increasing these dimensions is allowable as long as vent length remains in the allowable range.
Page 20 Clarity CL2118 SP INSTALLATION PLANNING WALL FINISH Non-combustible cement board. The CL2118 appliance requires a 1/2” (13 mm) thick non-combustible cement board to be used as a wall surface immediately surrounding the unit on each side (see Fig13. below) for minimum coverage.
Clarity CL2118 SP Page 21 INSTALLATION PLANNING CRACKING WALL FINISHES If a clean fi nish with no tile, etc. is desired, joints in the cement board and the transition to gypsum board will require special attention if future cracking is to be controlled. Be aware that temperatures on the noncombustible wall surface above the appliance can exceed 250°F.
HARDWIRING FOR OPTIONAL BLOWER There are electrical access panels on either side of the Clarity CL2118 SP for hardwiring power, install per local electrical building codes . Follow the steps below for running a hardwire power line to the Clarity CL2118 SP: 1.
