Quick Set up Guide

Please note to configure the DVR it
must be connected to a Monitor.
Also make sure you have the correct
Remote Control (r/c) and you point it
at the front of the DVR... not at the
monitor
To enter DVR Menu's press the ENTER button on the r/c
The top level menu will now be displayed on the Monitor
Use the arrow keys on the r/c to highlight the different sub-menus.
To enter a sub-menu highlight that menu and press the ENTER button.
To return back to a higher level menu press the EXIT button

    MANAGE TOOL On entering the MANAGE TOOL menu you will see the following options Those most commonly used by customers and installers are as follows. DISK MANAGE The DISK MANAGE sub-menu allows you to format your drives and set up on-screen alarm messages to alert the driver if there is an error with a drive.
  • Page 3 OSD SET The OSD SET sub-menu allows you to define what information is shown on the AV output and what information is recorded with the video. As has been described previously use the arrow and ENTER buttons on the r/c to highlight and change the settings (unless otherwise described).
  • Page 4 SYS UPGRADE From time to time Vision UK will update the DVR Firmware to improve the system performance. To update the firmware copy the new firmware file onto an SD card and insert it into the DVR and then install it through the SYS UPGRADE menu.

    SYSTEM SET The SYSTEM SET menu contains the Recording, Alarm and Network settings of the DVR. On entering the SYSTEM SET menu you will see the options shown above BASIC SET The BASIC SET contains the basic information on the DVR and Vehicle. As has been described previously use the arrow and ENTER buttons on the r/c to highlight and change the settings (unless otherwise described).
  • Page 6 If recording 4 cameras set bit rate to All Vision systems will be PAL unless 1600 as processor capacity cannot specifically ordered to be otherwise.

    POWER SETUP The POWER SETUP configuration defines how the DVR will run. As has been described previously use the arrow and ENTER buttons on the r/c to highlight and change the settings (unless otherwise described). For most applications the DVR should be set up to ACC.

    To use the ALARM OUTPUT, SPEED and MOVE DETECT functions please call Vision UK to ensure that these options are configured - and the Interface Connector wired - correctly to provide the desired functionality.
  • Page 9 G-SENSOR Regardless of the configuration the DVR will records G forces with the Video footage. However the G-Sensor can be configured to record an alarm file and/or send an alarm output when a G threshold level is exceeded Set ALARM SWITCH to ON to turn on the G-SENSOR alarm.

On entering PLAYBACK you will see the REC SEARCH options Select the type of file to be searched Note that dates which have recorded for ALARM, NORMAL or ALL video files will be highlighted in green...
  • Page 11 Selecting a video file to playback If the time period of interest is displayed highlight the first channel for that time period and press ENTER If the time period is not displayed click on the DOWN Button to show the next list of files and keep clicking until you see the time period of interest.
