Even though your Alexor/Impassa comes factory defaulted; you might want to default the system
just to make sure you have a clean slate to work with. To do this; follow the steps below:
You will have to enroll the keypad to do the following. To enroll the keypad press any button on the
keypad. You will then see a message that states that the keypad needs enrolled and then the keypad
will tell you to hold down the '1' & '*' keys. The keypad will enroll. Note: You must enroll the
keypad within 3 minutes of plugging in the main control panel.
To default the system you will enter into programming mode by typing:
*8 5555 on the keypad
You will then be asked for 'Section' .. Enter in 999
You will then be asked to enter Installer code .. Enter 5555
The keypad should beep and then ask you for 'Section' again .. Enter 999 again
You system will now be fully defaulted back to factory settings and your keypad will not
respond and will need enrolled again.
Here is a Sample Alarm Kit we will use for an example:
Description:
Front Door Sensor
Smoke Alarm
Bedroom Window Sensor
Living Room Motion
Before beginning you want to place the batteries in all the devices, except motions. Have
all devices laid in front of you in a nice order. You will put the batteries in the motion
sensors at the time you are ready to enroll them. With the door/window contacts, place the
transmitter and magnets side by side, as if they were mounted on a door or window (pay
attention to the arrows or lines on the side of the devices. These indicate where the devices
should line up with the magnets).
